Magazine Cover Design Practice

In-between testing fonts I had a quick go at making a magazine cover using my title. This is just a practice to give me some ideas about what looks good and how to effectively use Adobe Photoshop, therefore please disregard how bad it is. One of the main reasons for me doing this was to see how one could integrate a photo into a headline; here I have made it so Michael Jackson's arm and hand separate the words. I think it works quite well and the desaturated picture means that it does not clash with the also white headline.
